Dear __________ ,
I’m sending you this email as part of a nation-wide effort to get out the vote for November 3, 2020.
We can’t let big money or Russian trolls dictate this election. We need every American to vote.
As a volunteer with “Five Friends,” I am contacting five people who I know will vote the right way. I want to make sure that you make every effort to be registered and vote. (Sometimes life events get in the way on election day – – we want to avoid that by voting early.)
Please let me know if I can count on you to be one of my “five.”
This next election depends on people like to us get this country back on track.
Regards,
Sample 2
Dear __________ ,
I am volunteering with a project called “Five Friends.” The purpose of this project is to make sure we get incredible voter turnout in order to turn Donald Trump out of the White House.
As a volunteer, I have selected five of my friends (you plus four other neighbors, relatives, friends or coworkers).
I want to (a) make sure you’re registered to vote, then (b) encourage you to vote by mail or do early voting, and (c) make darn sure that you actually do vote!
Please let me know if you’re fine with you being on my list. The website I’m working with does not ask for any information about my “five friends.” This won’t put you on anybody’s email list or phone-bot calling list.
As a next step, I want to encourage you to do the same with five of your friends. This is a grass-roots effort: Nobody will hit you up money. Rather I’m going to keep asking to make sure that you and I and my four other friends get our vote and opinions counted.
Here’s the website: https://fivefriends.org
I’m hoping that like me, you will also commit to helping this effort one hour each month from now until the election.
This election is probably the most important one in our lifetimes. Let’s not lose it for lack of effort!
Thanks!
