The Meme Repository

The Meme Repository exists to facilitate sharing of fact-based memes focusing on political issues.

The repository was created in 2024 to provide accurate information promoting Joe Biden’s candidacy and shifted to support Kamala Harris after Biden withdrew from consideration.

Content

More content needs to be gathered, analyzed, classified and placed in the repository along with the appropriate database entries.

The content of the Meme Repository needs to be reviewed for relevancy towards the 2026 elections.

Database Revamp

The existing coding for the database is insufficient to meet the needs of this initiative.  It is therefore incumbent that part and parcel of this initiative shall be technical improvements in the database and in the coding.

The database needs to be implemented, with security, on an internet platform.

Key Tasks and Related Skills

Volunteers with any of the following skills are encouraged to respond via email:


  • Gathering existing memes from social media sites.
  • Creating memes relating to current and historical events.  (Experience with PowerPoint or similar presentation software or experience working with PhotoShops.)
  • Analyzing existing memes for conformity to Repository standards.
  • Applying content descriptors to existing memes.
  • Publicizing the Meme Repository.
  • Creating an online database using a standard platform, such as PHP.
  • Improving the user experience interface using such platforms as WordPress, HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript.

Training is available for each of the above aspects for supporting the Meme Repository.
